I have had an innate passion for drawing for as long as I can remember.

When I was a child, my father frequently encouraged me to practice writing Chinese characters using chalk on the ground in our old backyard, but I would always end up scribbling and doodling all over the concrete. Soon, progressed to doing this on the walls inside our house and as time passed, I gradually filled every corner of our home with my graffiti. At school, I began to learn Chinese traditional painting, which piqued my curiosity into art. I recall being particularly keen on bird-and-flower paintings at the time, using ink brushes with simple colors and freely applying the translucent paint onto the fine silk paper.

In 2012, my family moved from Xi'an to Shanghai, where my interests in art continued to grow. I began to explore the changing in objects perspectives and shadows under various spatial conditions. I became obsessed with drawing, spending the vast amount of my free time in the art studio and even continuing painting in my little room. During this time, I gained experience in line drawing and shading techniques concentrated on still life and figurative drawings, and produced many artworks

In 2018, I received an opportunity to study abroad at the Governors Academy, a high school in Boston, United States. There, I continued exploring my passion for art. My teachers encouraged me to create more diversified pieces of work so I began incorporating brighter colors and bolder strokes in my creations. I also fell in love with oil painting during this time, as I felt charmed by the depth of color and the rich techniques used in some of the classical works that I saw at the local museum. My most recent pieces focus on the beautiful ocean life

As I strive to keep improving my painting and drawing skills, I hope to develop my own artistic perspective and use this to inspire me to think creatively. I paint to convey a sense of ease and enjoyment to those who view my work. I aspire to create a world in which they can fully immerse themselves in.

My innocent love for art has never changed, and it never will.
